“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:15-16)
I am thankful that I have a Savior who is the Perfect Lamb of God because I know I will NEVER be perfect this side of heaven! In today’s verse we are called to be holy “in all manner of conversation”. So the first thing that comes to mind is that our speech must be holy … good and not vulgar. But that word “conversation” is much greater than just our speech. It says that we need to be holy in every thought, word and deed. This is our conversation. Think about it. We are called to take Jesus to the world. When our “conversation” is not something to be desired by the unbeliever, why would they want what we have? For someone that has not ever heard about Jesus, you may be the only “Jesus” that they ever see.
Consider your conversation. When you let the thoughts, words and deeds of Jesus shine through you, you will be holy.
