Cold cured smoked salmon (lox). This is a Scottish-style lox because it is cold smoked with a salt and sugar brine.
I remember this to be a lovely, creamy mac-n-cheese. It is a good recipe to take for a church carry-in meal. You can leave it in the crock while you worship!
You will be amazed and no one will believe that there is no meat in this recipe.
