White chocolate chip chocolate cookies

recipe: white chocolate chip chocolate cookiesMy kids once said these are the best cookies Momma ever made! I am not good at baking cookies and I know it is because I generally over bake them. The key to good cookies, especially these moist and chewy ones, it to take them out two minutes before they are done, leave them on the cookie sheet for two minutes so they set after baked and then transfer them to your cooling rack.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ Cups flour
  • 2/3 cups baking cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 Cup Butter or margarine (softened … they will be a bit crispier if you choose butter)
  • ¾ Cups sugar
  • 2/3 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 package white chocolate chips

In a small bowl sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt and set aside.

Cream together butter and sugars.  Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth.

Add dry ingredients to creamed ingredients.

Fold in white chips.

Drop onto baking sheet and bake at 350 for 9 to 11 minutes or until centers are set (do not over bake).

Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes and then remove to cooling rack.

Enjoy with a cup of milk, tea or coffee!
