Cream butter and sugar in mixer bowl
Add eggs, vanilla and almond extract. Mix well
In medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well with a whisk.
Carefully add the dry ingredients to your creamed ingredients. Mix on low until well mixed.
Refrigerate dough for at least one hour.
Preheat the oven to 375 ℉
Roll dough thickly (about ¼").
Cut dough into shapes with cookie cutters.
Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
Place cut out cookies onto prepared baking sheets.
If you are using sprinkles, sprinkle cookies before they go in oven.
Bake 10-12 minutes until slightly browned.
Cool on rack.
(optional) Glaze or frost cookies if you did not sprinkle them.
